MIchelle is a member of the Sew & Sews in Lacey, and moved to this area a couple of years ago from Amarillo, TX. At one of our recent Neighborhood Group meetings, Michelle did a fabulous trunk show of some of her leather bags – and does she do beautiful work!
These bags, with clever stone hanging closures and inserts, are made of the softest leather – Michelle provided us with resources about where she gets her supplies.
Look at these colors – and the leather is so supple, you wouldn’t know how sturdy it really is
Another fun way of making these bags unique is to dress up the handle with beads and stones, and add tassels.
We really enjoy having Michelle in our Neighborhood Group – she does a lot of sewing in her studio (when she’s not working or spending time with her husband, sons and dogs). One night Michelle brought almost a full wardrobe of clothing she had sewn – I couldn’t believe how many items she had completed in a short time!
We’re looking forward to seeing what Michelle will make next year when the Sew & Sews have more challenges. Thanks, Michelle for allowing our chapter to get to know you!
